Privacy Policy

JOuConverter does not collect, store or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.
Your preferences (which assets you follow, their order and your base currency) are stored only on your device and never leave it.
To display rates, the app requests public market data from Yahoo Finance servers. These requests carry no personal information; like any internet request they expose your IP address to the server that answers them, and nothing more. No third-party SDKs are embedded in the app.
Third party. Market data is served by Yahoo Finance. We have no data-sharing agreement with Yahoo and pass it nothing but the request itself; what Yahoo does with the connecting IP address is governed by Yahoo’s own privacy policy, not ours.
Security, retention and deletion. All requests use HTTPS. We operate no servers for this app and keep no records of its use, so there is nothing for us to retain, secure or delete. Your preferences live only in the app’s local storage: deleting the app deletes them. Because we collect nothing, there is no consent to withdraw; if you believe we hold any data about you, write to us and we will answer within 30 days.
In-app purchases. JOuConverter Plus is sold through Apple’s App Store and Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies; we never see your card or account details. The app keeps only a yes/no record of whether Plus is active, stored on your device and verified with the store.
Bug reports. If you use “Report a bug” in the app, your mail app opens with a message to us that pre-fills the app version, your phone model, system version and language so we can reproduce the problem. Nothing is sent until you send it, and we keep such e-mails only for as long as the report is being handled.
Changes. If a future version starts collecting anything, this policy will say so before that version ships.

What the app is. JOuConverter shows exchange rates and market prices for currencies, commodities, cryptocurrencies and shares, converts between them, and can notify you when a rate crosses a level you set. It is an information tool.
Where the numbers come from. Prices are public market data supplied by Yahoo Finance. They are real market quotes, but they can be delayed, incomplete or briefly wrong, and they are not the rate at which any bank, exchange or broker will trade with you. Over a weekend or a market holiday the app shows the last close and says so. Always check the price with your bank or broker before you buy, sell or exchange anything.
Currency calculations. From version 1.10, currency conversions normally use US dollar quotes as a common reference. For example, the CZK value of one EUR is calculated by dividing CZK per USD by EUR per USD. A direct currency pair may be used when the required dollar quotes are unavailable. These sources can differ, and the two quotes may have different update times. Download time is not the time of the underlying market quote.
Historical charts. Cross-currency history combines available quotes in matching time intervals. Coverage and resolution depend on the provider and vary by currency and period. If aggregated history is unavailable, the app may use hourly data; for All, this fallback can be limited to the available two-year window. All means the history available to the app, not necessarily the entire lifetime of an asset. Missing data is not invented. Long charts display a selection of actual points that preserves local highs and lows, while touch inspection uses the full loaded series.
No advice. The app does not recommend anything. Rankings such as “today’s biggest moves”, alerts you set yourself, headlines from third-party publishers and the portfolio value are information, not investment, tax or financial advice, and are not an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any asset.
JOuConverter Plus. Plus is an optional purchase inside the app, sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms. A monthly or yearly subscription renews automatically at the shown price until you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings; the lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase for the store account that bought it. Refunds are handled by the store according to its rules.
Availability. We aim to keep the app working but do not promise uninterrupted service; the data provider can change or stop its feed, and features may change between versions. The app is provided as is, and to the extent the law allows, JOUGROUP s.r.o. is not liable for losses arising from reliance on the information shown or from the app being unavailable.
